Adam's Camp Nantucket

Realizing Potentials. Developing Strengths.

In 1986 in Denver Colorado the parent's of Adam and his physical therapist founded a camp for children with special needs. The camp's unique philosophy was to provide fun, intensive therapy to children over a five day camp experience. While children work one-on-one with a multi-disciplinary therapy team six hours a day, their parents receive respite and support and siblings attend a special camp designed to meet their specific needs as a sibling of children with special needs. Colorado's program over the last 22 years has been extremely successful in helping children and their families reach new milestones in development. The program has been so successful, in fact, that Adam's Camp Colorado decided to "seed" their program throughout the United States.

In 2008 the Nantucket S.T.A.R. Program was chosen as the first seeding project, brought here by Max and Pat Goode, residents of Nantucket and long-time attendees of Adam's Camp Colorado. Our first year of Adam's Camp Nantucket was a huge success for families and campers and we look forward to our second summer of camp. Please visit Adam's Camp Colorado website.
